What Every Client Should Know About Trademarks

Presented by: Dan Nguyen, Esq.

Synopsis: An overview about trademarks, how they compare to other types of intellectual property, what makes a good trademark, and real life stories about trademarks gone awry.

Speaker Bio: Dan Nguyen has been in solo small firm practice since 2005 focusing on business, franchise, trademarks, and business immigration. He was a Super Lawyer's Rising Star in 2015 and 2016 and has served as a professor of law teaching law firm practice management. His clients include TASTEA, a smoothie and tea shop with over $1,000,000 in average store revenue, and INNOVATIVE RESULTS, voted Orange County’s #1 Personal Trainers 2 years in a row. He serves on the board of the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce and has spoken to various groups on business, estate planning, trademarks, and continuing education for attorneys. He has published articles in The Daily Journal, Orange County Lawyer, American Bar Association GP Solo Magazine, and American Express Open Forum and facilitates a monthly mastermind group for attorneys. Fun fact: in 2016 he tried out for a professional basketball team.
