Pro Bono / Charity


Pro Bono is all about Giving Back to Our Community.  We invite you to partner with OCPA and attend at least one of our Pro Bono events this year. If you would like to get involved or have great volunteer ideas, please let us know.  We want to support organizations that our members are passionate about.

This year OCPA has plans to partner with the local Orange County organizations.  When an event is scheduled, we’ll update the website and send out an email blast to the membership calling for volunteers.  Note that many of our events welcome family and friends as well.  We look forward to seeing you, and your family or friend, at our next event.

Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation "Reaching for the Cure Run/Walk" 

March 25, 2018 @ Irvine Valley College   

On Sunday, March 25, members of the OCPA participated in the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation walk at Irvine Valley College. For the Foundation’s 20th anniversary, OCPA joined a large group of enthusiastic racers who clocked more than 51,000 miles and raised over $275,000 for this important cause. In addition to participating members, we were also joined by family members and friends.

Orange County Coastkeeper Beach Clean-up  

June 9th, 2018 @ Huntington State Beach 

On Saturday, June 9th, members of the OCPA participated in the Orange County Coastkeeper Beach Clean-up at Huntington Beach State Beach/Bolsa Chica. Coastkeeper holds monthly beach cleanups to help keep our beaches clean and learn about coastal conservation. There was an amazing turnout of over 200 volunteers from within the Orange County community on June 9th - thank you OCPA for volunteering your time! An astonishing 1,889 pounds of trash has been removed in 2018 to date.

OC Food Bank  

September, 8th 2018 @ 11870 Monarch Street, Garden Grove 92841 


On September 8, 2018, an enthusiastic group of OCPA volunteers visited the Orange County Food bank for a fun and fulfilling morning packaging boxes of food for low income seniors. Over the course of two hours, our team of 20 volunteers (including OCPA members, family and friends), in conjunction with other volunteer groups, assembled 1,240 boxes of food.

The OC Food Bank provides food to over 375 social services agencies throughout Orange County and assists 1,400 people directly each day.

Working Wardrobes 

September, 15th 2018  

OCPA members also teamed up with Working Wardrobes at this year’s 32nd Annual Educational Conference. As a result of member generosity, we were able to donate over 286 pieces of clothing, shoes and accessories on September 22, 2018. Since 1990, Working Wardrobes has changed the lives of nearly 95,000 people overcoming difficult challenges.

CASA Holiday Gift Drive  

November/December 2018 


OCPA partnered with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Orange County to give back to children in the foster care system this holiday season by collecting gifts for the Holiday Gift Drive.  CASA is a non-profit organization that serves severely abused, neglected and abandoned children through the recruitment, training, and continued support of volunteers who advocate and mentor children, representing their best interest in the courtroom and other settings. Many thanks to everyone who donated making the Holiday Gift Drive a success!
