Pro Bono / Charity


Pro Bono is all about Giving Back to Our Community.  We invite you to partner with OCPA and attend at least one of our Pro Bono events this year. If you would like to get involved or have great volunteer ideas, please let us know.  We want to support organizations that our members are passionate about.

This year OCPA has plans to partner with the local Orange County organizations.  When an event is scheduled, we’ll update the website and send out an email blast to the membership calling for volunteers.  Note that many of our events welcome family and friends as well.  We look forward to seeing you, and your family or friend, at our next event.

Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation "Reaching for the Cure Run/Walk" 

March 25, 2018 @ Irvine Valley College   

On Sunday, March 25, members of the OCPA participated in the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation walk at Irvine Valley College. For the Foundation’s 20th anniversary, OCPA joined a large group of enthusiastic racers who clocked more than 51,000 miles and raised over $275,000 for this important cause. In addition to participating members, we were also joined by family members and friends.

Orange County Coastkeeper Beach Clean-up  

June 9th, 2018 @ Huntington State Beach 

On Saturday, June 9th, members of the OCPA participated in the Orange County Coastkeeper Beach Clean-up at Huntington Beach State Beach/Bolsa Chica. Coastkeeper holds monthly beach cleanups to help keep our beaches clean and learn about coastal conservation. There was an amazing turnout of over 200 volunteers from within the Orange County community on June 9th - thank you OCPA for volunteering your time! An astonishing 1,889 pounds of trash has been removed in 2018 to date.

OC Food Bank  (Upcoming Event)

Donate your time to end hunger in your community.

Volunteers will work side-by-side packing food boxes that are distributed to low-income families and elderly in Orange County and surrounding areas.

We have 20 spots available, so please sign up early!  Note that volunteers must be at least 8 years old. If you cannot attend after registering, please let us know so that we can have someone else attend in your place. 

Meet at 8:15 a.m. to check-in and collect your OCPA Volunteer Shirt (look for the blue shirts).  

DRESS CODE:

- Closed-toed shoes

- Comfortable clothing

Working Wardrobes (Upcoming Event)

September, 15th 2018 @ OCPA Educational Conference 

Time to clean out your closet and donate for a great cause! 

OCPA has partnered with Working Wardrobes to collect clothing and other items at the OCPA Annual Educational Conference on September 15th at the Irvine Hilton Hotel. All donation participants will be entered into an OCPA prize drawing. Donation receipts for tax purposes will be available. 

Donation Guidelines:

  1. Select your best quality, men’s and women’s clothing & accessories.
  2. Make sure clothing is clean & on hangers (please don’t put your good clothing in bags!) Hangars will be available if needed.  Clothes do not need to be dry cleaned.  

Donation Items – Men’s and Women’s:

  • Suit Jackets / Blazers
  • Dress Shirts / Blouses / Cardigans
  • Dress Pants / Skirts / Dresses
  • Dress Shoes / Dress Socks
  • Ties / Belts / Cufflinks / Scarves
  • Handbags / Costume Jewelry
  • Casual attire
  • **Small and plus sizes are always our greatest needed items!
  • Office Supplies: copy paper, cardstock, gift cards (Staples/Home Depot), file folders, mailing labels, Swiffer refills
  • Clear Plastic Hangers

Where to Donate:

  • OCPA Annual Educational Conference on September 15th at the Irvine Hilton 
  • Please bring your items to the collection table during conference registration.
