ETHICS SECTION MEETING

TOPIC: PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND "AI"

After this workshop, you will be able to:

1. Identify the rules of professional responsibility implicated by use of AI in the delivery of legal services;

2. Explain the issues that may arise when using AI in the delivery of legal services; and

3. Discuss potential ways to use AI in the delivery of legal services without violating the rules of professional responsbility.

Thomas Pokladowski is a is California licensed attorney currently working for Progressive Insurance, where he collaborates with attorneys and paralegals to find innovations in the delivery of the company's legal services. He also has experience directing and teaching for ABA-approved paralegal programs. He serves on the NALA Certifying Board.
