This presentation covers the privacy laws related to HIPAA, USA Patriot Act, HITECH Act, COPPA Act, CAN-SPAM, USA Freedom Act, CPRA, State Privacy Laws, CCPA & GDPR, and Proposed U.S. Federal Law.
Presented by: Terry McKiernan, Esq.
Terry McKiernan is the Senior Staff Attorney at Munger Tolles & Olson LLP. He has been with the law firm for nearly 30 years. He has extensive experience overseeing all phases of complex litigation, including litigation strategy, case management, and coordination of discovery efforts.
In addition, he advises in-house IT departments on data loss prevention policies and protocols. Terry engages in internal investigations, particularly involving data breaches, employee misconduct, and trade secret misappropriation.
Terry received his Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Loyola Law School and his Bachelor's Degree (Dual) in International Relations and Religion.
